Rental
Rental conditions
The operational detail of how we hand over, charge for and take back a vehicle.
Handover and return
Handover includes a joint inspection of the vehicle. The odometer, fuel level and any pre-existing damage are documented, with photographs attached to the agreement.
The return repeats the same procedure. Damage not recorded at handover is deemed to have occurred during the rental.
Coverage and deductibles
Every one of our vehicles goes out with full coverage: major damage — a collision, a write-off, a theft — is borne by the policy, not by the customer. That cover is included in the price and is not charged separately.
What the customer does bear is MINOR damage, the kind that falls below the deductible. A real example, so nobody finds out at the counter: repainting a scuffed panel costs between RD$2,500 and RD$5,000, and that amount is paid by whoever rented the car.
The reason is simple, and we say it before rather than after: a parking-lot scuff is not claimed on a policy, and if it were built into everyone's rate, careful drivers would end up paying for other people's carelessness.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) caps your liability at a US$800 deductible; Super Cover (SCDW) reduces it to zero, and with it you do not pay for minor damage either.
No coverage applies to damage from negligent driving, driving under the influence, driving off suitable roads, or driving by anyone not named in the agreement.
Charges on return
We do not charge for late returns. The following may apply: missing fuel, extraordinary cleaning if the car comes back beyond normal use, and damage based on the workshop quote, always disclosed before any charge.
