Frequently asked questions

The most common questions before and during a rental. If you do not find your answer, message us on WhatsApp.

What do I need to pick up the vehicle?

A valid driver's license (Dominican or from your home country; foreign licenses are valid for short stays), an ID or passport, and a credit card in the main driver's name for the security hold.

If your license is not in the Latin alphabet, bring an International Driving Permit as well.

How does the security deposit work?

An amount is held — not charged — on your credit card at pick-up. It depends on the car you booked: each one has its own figure according to its category, and you see it in the summary before you confirm.

When you bring the car back it is inspected. With no damage and no outstanding fines, the whole deposit is released. Your bank may take 5 to 15 business days to reflect it.

If damage does turn up, the deposit stays held while it is assessed: the repair is quoted by the workshop first and you are told the figure with parts and labor itemized. Nothing is deducted before that.

With the quotation in hand, only what the repair cost is deducted from the deposit and the difference goes back to you. For example: if US$350 was held and the repair came to US$120, US$230 returns to you. Were the repair to cost more than the deposit, you are told the difference before it is charged.

What if I need to cancel?

We are flexible. You can reschedule your rental or keep what you paid as credit for another date, valid for one year. If the new rental costs more, you only pay the difference.

You can do it from «My bookings» or by messaging us on WhatsApp.

Will I be charged for a late return?

No. We do not charge late return fees. Just let us know on WhatsApp so we can arrange the pickup.

If you need more days, we extend the rental based on the car's availability. If it is already booked, we offer you another car.

Is mileage unlimited?

Yes, on every car. Drive anywhere in the country with no mileage charges.

Can I take the vehicle to Haiti?

No. Our agreements and insurance policies cover the territory of the Dominican Republic only.

Who is allowed to drive?

Only the main driver and any additional drivers named in the agreement. Add the additional driver when booking; you see the cost in the summary, and they must show their license at delivery.
